Product Story

This is the 16" x 20" photograph of Game 5 of the 1956 World Series autographed by New York Yankees pitcher Don Larsen, the only pitcher to retire all 27 batters he faced in a World Series game. The black and white photo shows the baseball mid-flight as Larsen throws the first pitch to the lead-off batter (it was called a ball). This black and white photo bears Larson’s signature along with the inscription “PG 10/8/56” and the names and box score stats of the Dodgers batters he kept from reaching base that day, including several MLB Hall of Famers. Officially Licensed by Major League Baseball, this unique collectible features a Yankees logo and comes with an individually numbered, tamper-evident hologram from Fanatics Authentic as your assurance of its authenticity. Frame approx. 29 1/2" H x 30" W x 1" D.
