This pocket radio earned The Best rating from the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute because it picked up the most stations and produced the highest quality sound. It received 29 FM stations, 19 AM stations, as well as a combination of Airband, shortwave, and longwave radio stations, unlike lesser models that only picked up 21 FM and 7 AM stations. The Best model experienced minimal static even when analysts walked around with the palm-sized device, while other radios generated excessive static on both FM and AM channels. It also produced up to 87 dB of audio and was made with high-quality materials. The radio has a backlit LCD panel, alarm clock, sleep timer, 3.5mm earphone jack, and memory presets.
